Scope and contact

This policy covers macroversehub.com, its /app workspace, Ask Macroverse and the Macroverse publication library. It does not cover independent publishers or linked source websites. Contact xperience@macroversehub.com for privacy questions or requests.

Information we handle

When you visit, hosting and security services process technical information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps, browser information and error or access records to deliver and protect the site. Opening public charts does not require a public user account.

Your browser remembers a theme when you choose it. New public Ask Macroverse chats and drafts use temporary tab-session storage by default. Persistent device history is saved only when you enable Remember research on this device; earlier saved history remains available through an explicit viewing or import action. Tab selections, filters and scroll positions are also retained in memory during navigation.

Account services process your email and Cognito account identifier. Your workspace stores conversations, drafts, generation jobs, author display name, submitted review snapshots and editorial decisions. Questions, relevant earlier turns, answer mode and generated responses are processed to provide research. Your account identifier and a keyed representation of your network address apply usage limits and prevent abuse. These identifiers are not a guarantee of anonymity. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send.

Why we use information

We use this information to deliver pages and requested research responses, remember chosen settings, restore conversations, manage usage allowances, prevent duplicate requests, diagnose failures, secure the service and respond to enquiries or rights requests.

The current Observatory application does not include advertising pixels, session-replay tools or third-party behavioural analytics scripts. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Where a law requires a lawful basis, we rely on the basis appropriate to the activity, such as providing a requested service, legitimate interests in secure operation, legal obligations, or consent where required. We do not treat simple browsing as consent to unrelated processing.

Optional article analytics

Article analytics is optional and off until you accept. When collection is enabled, Vercel Web Analytics measures views of confirmed public articles, estimated visitors and device breakdowns. Only consenting readership is represented; these figures are not a count of every reader. Drafts, previews, editing, account pages and research chats are excluded.

The article address is reduced to its public canonical path. Query strings, fragments, referrers, account identifiers, email addresses and research content are not included in analytics event payloads. Vercel necessarily receives technical request information, including network address and browser details, and derives a temporary visitor hash that is discarded after 24 hours. It can derive general location and device information from those requests. Cookieless measurement is not a claim that no information is processed.

Acceptance and refusal are both remembered for six calendar months in this browser. You can withdraw through Privacy choices at any time, stopping future measurement. Withdrawal does not remove statistics already received. The current Vercel Hobby plan provides 30 days of viewable analytics history. Provider retention also follows Vercel’s terms; the 24-hour hash lifetime is not a deletion deadline for aggregate reports or operational records. We do not copy analytics into individual account profiles.

Ask Macroverse and service providers

Custom research questions and relevant conversation context are sent to Perplexity to generate researched answers. Article creation also sends the requested topic, intended audience, approved outline and selected evidence to Perplexity. Imported device notes are not trusted research context. Research may use web search to obtain sources. Do not include confidential or sensitive information in your questions. Provider handling, including its applicable retention and security terms, also applies to information it receives.

Vercel provides site hosting and request delivery. Backend hosting and database services, including infrastructure on Amazon Web Services, support research and data delivery. Providers process information needed to perform their services. We may also disclose information where legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, investigate misuse or address a security incident.

Service providers may process information outside your country. Applicable data protection requirements and available safeguards depend on the processing and jurisdictions involved; contact us for information relevant to your request. External source websites receive information under their own policies when you visit them. Some publication images are requested directly from external image services, including Unsplash. These services receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser details when an image loads; their own policies apply.

Early access and email updates

Early-access requests collect your name, email, role, intended use and optional organization so administrators can review applications and issue invitations. Email confirmation is required. Workspace invitations are personal, expire after seven days, and do not guarantee publication.

Email updates are a separate choice. We activate subscriptions after email confirmation, record the consent date and wording version, and provide unsubscribe links without requiring an account. You can withdraw an early-access request independently. AWS stores these records in Mumbai and processes email delivery, bounces and complaints. We do not add open-tracking pixels or click-tracking redirects to these emails.

Unconfirmed requests expire after 30 days. Inactive early-access profiles are removed after 12 months. Delivery records expire after 30 days and administration audit records after 12 months. Minimal consent, withdrawal and suppression records may remain to honor your choices and prevent unwanted email. Encrypted backups and provider logs may retain copies beyond application cleanup.

Storage and retention

Account conversations and private documents are retained until you delete them or request account deletion. Deleting a conversation removes its saved messages and request records; evidence already reused in an article or generation job remains with that work. Submitting an article makes an immutable copy available to editors. Approved public versions remain public when a private draft is edited or deleted; contact editorial to request withdrawal. Account email is not copied into published articles.

Your explicit browser preference and saved device research have no application-set time expiry; they remain until changed, cleared, overwritten or removed through Privacy choices. Saved history contains up to 12 conversations. Turning saving off stops future persistent writes without deleting earlier history. Temporary conversations and drafts use tab-session storage; browser session restoration may retain them. Account workspace saving is independent of public device history. Clearing local history does not delete copies already processed by the research service or its providers.

The older anonymous research service is configured to remove its stored questions and answers older than 90 days through scheduled cleanup. That temporary retention does not apply to account-saved conversations, articles, review records or generation jobs. Hourly abuse-control records are configured for cleanup after approximately two days; monthly usage records older than the roughly 90-day monthly cutoff are also removed. Cleanup timing, monthly boundaries, backups and lawful preservation can extend the time before all copies disappear.

Hosting and security logs, backups and correspondence follow the relevant operational, provider and legal retention requirements. There is no single verified retention period covering all these systems. Contact us for details about a specific record. We retain information only as needed for its purpose, security, resolving disputes or applicable legal obligations.

Your choices and requests

Privacy choices is available in the footer, public research settings and workspace settings. You can accept or reject article analytics, choose whether to remember public research, clear saved device history separately, change the theme, delete account conversations or private documents through workspace controls, and manage cookies and site storage through your browser. Device choices do not change email subscriptions, account ownership, server-side research retention or usage allowances. Blocking storage may prevent settings, history or usage-limit checks from working.

Depending on applicable law and its commencement, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal data, obtain information about processing, withdraw consent, object to or restrict certain processing, and raise a grievance or complaint with the relevant authority. Email us to make a request. We may ask for proportionate information to verify it and locate records, and will respond within applicable legal time limits. Some records may need to be retained where legally permitted or required.

When contacting us about research history, include the approximate date and a request identifier if available. Do not email passwords, identity documents or the research cookie value unless a secure verification process has been agreed.

Security and children

We use measures intended to protect information, including encrypted transport and access restrictions. No internet service or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Observatory is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect children’s personal information. Children should use interactive research only with appropriate parent or guardian involvement and in accordance with applicable law. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps.

Updates to this policy

We will update this policy when practices or requirements change and display the revised date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before materially different processing begins. You can contact us at the email below about this policy.
